Tuesday Evening Yoga

Date:
Tue, 07/07/2009 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

It's Summer time at the Kula Center for Yoga.......

Welcome to the Ease of Being!

I am delighted to be thinking about YOU as an integral member of the Kula or as an occasional drop-in student. No matter how long its been since we've last seen you, we are looking forward to welcoming you, listening to you, being listened to by you, and sharing a set of Kula Yoga's principles to support you, our Kula and our collective circle of family and friends.

This summer we will embrace the spirit of community as a reliable place for you to consistently return back home to; receiving and giving what you need to be healthy, happy and whole in your lives, work and relationships.

Here's a glance into what's happening when you participate at the Kula Center for Yoga this Summer!

Tuesdays - 6:30 to 8:00 pm

This class is appropriate for anyone ready to call off the search for some state outside of oneself and experience one's completeness right now.

New students can join us at any time during the sessions!

Summer 2009 Sessions

The summer session offers 8 weeks of class along with 3 student led class sessions. The session runs from June 23rd to August 18th.  See the Tuesday Evening Yoga class page for a full listing of the class dates and links to the class listings on the site.

You can register and attend these classes using the Kula Registration Form. We do invite students to join the class after the start of the session.

Class Agenda

Our time together will include:

  • Individual time to 'welcome' oneself to the class
  • Invocational chanting
  • Sankalpa (setting intention)
  • Philosophy of Yoga taught through Satsanga  the sharing of the wisdom teachings
  • Integrative exercises of sensation - experienced in dyads to ground the concepts of Yoga Nidra
  • Grounding asana (posture) practice
  • Body-sensing (a form of Hatha Yoga)
  • Yoga Nidra - a transforming process in which we systematically uncover and discard our self-limiting beliefs leading us to lasting healing and restoring us to innate wholeness.

I find any seasonal or personal transition to be a great time to follow Ramana Maharishi's essential teaching:

Be Still.......and know.........

We'll use this teaching as the underlying foundation from which one's self-inquiry in the unqualified nondual tradition will sprout from.

On behalf of all the students and teachers of Kula Yoga, we'd love to invite you to join our circle in the spirit and practice of moving into stillness from which all sensation arises, unfolds and dissolves back into.
